KS5C enjoyed using coins today to buy different breakfast items. They practiced calculating change from £1.00 and thought of different coins they could use to make the price of their shopping. 

KS5 had a very productive day and experienced several different activities including creating their own hand puppet monster, social communication through games and some time relaxing in the immersive room. A lovely day all round.

Students have been loving engaging with their CLL topic - their secret treehouse.

Today they talked about how they feel inside their treehouse.

Some of our students in KS5W have been working on their fine motor skills, problem solving and working with different tools within the classroom to help them to aim high, students completed these tasks independently.

Students from KS5W enjoyed their time in our immersive room, they explored a few different interactive programs such as fireworks and wall graffiti. Our students enjoyed their time in the immersive room which helps them to relax.

Students from KS5W have chosen sensory circuits to complete to help them to recognise ways that can help them within the classroom. Students chose their own individual circuit and then carried out those activities with a member of staff.

KS5W were invited to Preston College Theatre to watch a production of Matilda the musical.  We traveled by the school transport and the performance was free to watch, a big thank you to Preston College.  All students were fully engaged with the performance and their behaviour was…

KS5W revised ordering numbers to 20 and added 2 numbers together using counters. They then used an online game to consolidate knowledge.

KS5W went shopping for provisions to make breakfast baps tomorrow to sell to staff. Students used a list to help them remember what to buy. They worked as part of a team to find the items and put them in the trolley. 

Students loved cooking homemade chips and gammon again today. Afterwards they made a delicious fresh fruit salad. Students are all developing their ability to peel and chop. Well done!! What a scrummy meal!

KS5W really enjoyed going on a listening walk. Everybody loved hearing the birds in the trees sing and the sound of children playing nearby. Students followed the rules about road safety and listened to instructions.
